[igrav-steering] Updated Working Group Chairs - Mailing List Decisions

Hi All,



I wanted to say thank you for all your hard work in making last Friday's meeting a success. We did fail to take a group picture, but otherwise, it was a great day with some excellent movement on topics.



A couple of items I wanted to follow up on. First, we announced that Chris and Isa are our new Steering Committee chairs. Thank you both for your willingness to serve in this role. Due to this and other movements, several new working group co-chairs were selected. I did not get everyone's names and email addresses, so if you could please update your working group chairs on this document<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ijrk-SNV79UQyKvXQFr19ieetfv4aN31x9qXVAkYGEE/edit?usp=sharing>, I would greatly appreciate it.



This connects to a second item we agreed we needed to finalize: who should be on the steering committee? At the meeting, the consensus was that it should include all working group chairs at a minimum. However, we decided we should discuss further if others are not working group chairs but should still be a part of the steering committee. For example, our GWIC representative. They were elected from the steering committee, so in theory, they should be a group lead, but that may not always be the case. What are folks' thoughts? In addition to working group leads, steering committee co-chairs, and the GWIC representative, should other positions be on the steering committee? Once we finalize, I will clean up the mailing list removing folks and adding new ones. Below is our current list of committee members. Those in red would be removed under our current definition of the committee.

One note David Keitel was also a member of the Steering Committee, but he asked on Friday that he be removed. He was previously a co-chair of the communications group.
