Hi Magdalena, and all.
So good news! Thanks Magdalena for preparing the talk on behalf of all the people in IGrav and for sharing the good news coming from the GWIC audience :)
Do you have a link to the final presentation in pdf? I would like to keep a copy but I only found the v1 version.
I agree on the point on having GWIC support, taking into account the impossibility of having any parent mechanism available in ISGRG, as we have already discussed internally in IGrav. Moreover, the positive acceptance of this formal proposal can be a good stone to be included in the frame of our webpage.
Regards,
Isa
PD: I keep using IGrav steering list... just to check weather the limit of email addresses issue has been finally solved.

> Hi IGrav people,
>
> This is a quick update on the talk I gave at the GWIC meeting earlier today.
>
> It went really well with several GWIC members seeing much potential to coordinate our efforts and generally supporting our initiative.
>
> For example, Bernard Schutz said it was appropriate for GWIC to take IGrav under their wings and give us a stamp of approval, David Shoemaker was very much interested in the equity & diversity aspect of IGrav and thinks that IGrav serves obecjtves GWIC should have, and David Reitze concluded that advocacy is important for the future and that what we are doing needs to be done, so IGrav resonated a lot with him. That’s great!
>
> Besides, Beverly Berger (ISGRG) said IGrav is valuable for all of us and should be encouraged. She also said that ISGRG does not have any mechanism to “parent” us, i.e. they cannot incorporate new elements into ISGRG, so she said GWIC would be a better fit.
>
> Finally, GWIC decided to consider this as a formal proposal as membership of a new project and they will decide on this proposal according to their consensus model.
>
> I guess we are going to hear from them soon, and I think/hope it’s going to be a positive response :)

> Cheers

I have checked the points associated to science and arts group and I think everything is ok. Once we have a web page, I am looking forward to put some content shared by the members in the group.

I didn't find any description of the communication and the organisational structure groups, do we have any? I added more info to the two working groups I'm part of, if you'd like to see more on your groups, just add it :)
